Fumi Watanabe uses handprinted Japanese silk and paper that is layered in collage on wood. She chooses colors inspired by nature that also help evoke the beauty of the realm. Soft blues, grays, greens, and browns are prevalent in her work. These pieces have such a tranquil beauty that it extends to create a feeling of calm.

StoryPeople kicks off April 4th at the First Friday Artwalk with a reception for the artists, cheese & wine, teas from Heartsong Herbal Brewing Co., and found object puppetry by Ashland's own Professor Mucknectar.
